I graduated from Oneonta High School in 2003. From there I went to Snead State Community College
and then transferred to Jacksonville State University. I enrolled in the Physical Education program
in 2005. The JSU physical education program was a lot of fun. I learned a ton of valuable information which will enable me to create an amazing physical education program at Ivalee Elementary. I met my wife, Cassie, in class during the fall semester of 2009. We both graduated with a bachelor's degrees in physical education in the spring of 2010.
Cassie and I married a little over a year later at Gadsden Christian Fellowship.

We moved to Rainbow City, AL in 2011 to start our marriage. I worked for the ALDOC for about
2 years. Cassie started her Master's degree in Secondary English. I was still pursuing a physical
education position throughout the next few years. Meanwhile, I obtained a personal trainer certification
with the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. I have a tremendous passion for exercise and
with weight lifting. I am continuously looking for ways to challenge myself physically, and I always keep
up with new fitness techniques. I followed my father's footsteps in the area of fitness expertise. I
started lifting weights as a hobby when I was 17, and from there it grew into a passion. My wife also enjoys
exercising as well. We are best friends and spend a lot of time together. We are members at
Harvestfield Church in Rainbow City. We also have been blessed with a wonderful home in Southside, AL.
Oh yeah!, and we are also Auburn fans, WAR EAGLE!!!
There is another important aspect of my life, and I would be in deep trouble if I did not tell you about her.
Not with someone, but in trouble with her! Her name is Averi. She is my awesome dog, and she is a dachshund.
She entered into our lives in October of 2010, Halloween to be exact. She has a very funny personality, she is very
athletic, and she demands a lot of attention. She fits perfectly into our family.

On July 22, 2015, I became a father to a beautiful baby girl named Rowen Laine Newcomb. She is perfectly healthy and just perfect! This is our first child and we could not be happier with the new addition to our family. This will be my second year as a physical education teacher at Ivalee Elementary. I can not tell you how excited I am to
have this opportunity to be a part of Ivalee Elementary School. I am thrilled to be a part of the Ivalee community.
I am even more thrilled to be a physical education teacher and role model for the children at Ivalee Elementary.
We are going to have another fun year as I have new and exciting games to introduce to the kids. The students are going to have FUN, and they are going to learn so much about themselves and their own physical abilities. Don't be surprised when your child comes home and says, "look what I learned today in P.E." This year will be awesome once again!
